An Object-oriented, Dynamic Adaptable, Virtual Le System for Cheops

چکیده
This paper presents some of the recent results and experiences of the CHEOPS 1 research project. It deals with the aspect of the object-oriented (re)design of a traditional operating system component, a virtual le system. To be able to integrate and remove speciic le system implementations at run-time the CHEOPS class-object architecture is used. The paper demonstrates the usage of that architecture and shows, how an high degree of reuseability and ne adaptation granularity can be reached by applying it.
